Mars in July, 2003:
Mars taken in the early morning of July 1st with an SBIG
ST-237A CCD camera on a 6" Maksutov-Newtonian telescope. This image is
composed of 40 stacked images of 0.05 second exposures taken in a total
time span of two minutes. The images were stacked and processed with the
program AIP4WIN. Color tinting was added with Corel Photopaint to match
what was seen in the eyepiece. This image is copyright Phil Schumacher.
Lunar eclipse of May 15, 2003:
Images are from 1/200th of a second for the full moon image to 3 seconds for
the total eclipse image. Taken at our observatory in Froemming Park with a
Sony Cybershot DSC-S75 through a Celestron NextStar 5.
