Observing at Ledge Park
Ledge Park is a Dodge County Park. It offers 5th to 6th magnitude skies.
From the volleyball court observing area, which is just south of campsites
#1 and #2, you have a good southern horizon view. The northern, eastern
and western directions are somewhat blocked by trees with the northern
horizon being blocked the most.
We have been able to call ahead at stay past closing hours and they will
leave the gate open for us. The park number is 920-387-5450.
- Take Hwy 45 north until you get to the split of highways 41 and 45

- Turn right onto Hwy V.
- On Hwy V, go one mile then turn left on to Raaschs Hill Rd. (Again another brown park sign is here)
- On Raasches Hill Rd go about a mile and then turn right on to Park Rd. (And a brown park sign is here)
- Go on Park Rd. until you see a mailbox on the right with a white arrow high above it with red reflectors on the sign pointing to the left. This is the entrance to Ledge Park.
- Go to the "directions" sign and turn right to the ranger station.
- Pass the ranger station until you see a road that turns to the right. There is a sign right before it that says "Caution Children at Play". This is the corner where we are observing. Turn on this road and turn onto the grass right before the maintenance shed.
