Observing at Harrington Beach State Park
Harrington Beach State Park offers 5th to 6th magnitude skies. We set up in
the parking lot for Puckett's Pond. You have a good view all around, with
some trees in the parking lot blocking some of your view. The best view is
toward the east because there is no light pollution over Lake Michigan.
Sky glow is to the north and south west. We have been able to stay past
closing hours.
- Take I-43 north until you get to the exit for Hwy D (Lake Church)
- Take Hwy D east past Lake Church until you see the sign for the park
on the right.
- Take the park roads until you see the sign for Puckett's Pond.
- Turn into the parking lot on the right.
